WW - Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT Master, ref 1675, circa 1963, 42mm including crown guards x 47mm to lug tips, 20mm lug width, original stainless steel screw back Oyster case with pointed crown guards and a bi-directional bezel with faded 24 hour "Pepsi" insert with a red back, engraved name to rear, riveted expandable link Rolex USA Oyster bracelet with hand scratched matching serial number, original gilt type C dial with luminous painted hour plots, date aperture at 3, 26J cal 1570, s#1089289, triple signed with signed clasp, bracelet with a 7-64 date stamp, inside back ref 1675 with a IV.63 date stamp. This watch has all the bells and whistles collectors dream about and leave letters to Santa for, including the original box and papers as well as the original matched chronometer certificate, fold out manual, and a bookmark dated 1964 which reads "Rockefeller for President."
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, hardly any oxide to steelwork, light spotting and wear to brass at leading edge of plates; excellent-plus dial with relumed lume plots; fine replacement Mercedes hands; polished case shows light wear, lug chamfers are no longer visible, bezel is incredibly stiff, several light dings on the backs of the lugs from being worn on a bracelet as well as dents to bottom lug tips; bracelet shows light wear, hardly any stretch, numerous small dings to bracelet top; original signed crown shows very little wear, good threads; good plastic crystal; resealed for auction; inner and outer boxes shows little wear.
